BREAK BORDERS: Film screening & Panel Discussion
Featuring Rhythm Attack Crew, B-girl Ling, & Flame Illusion Crew
4:30pm - 6pm | Memorial Union Play Circle

Break Borders, a film by director Joey Kan, follows b-boys and b-girls from the USA, Hong Kong and Macau, China, as they build skills, create community, and travel nationally and internationally in a quest to increasingly represent their unique culture and dance styles. The film uses personal narratives to explore issues of cross-cultural communication through b-boy/b-girl culture, the desire to transcend boundaries, and the increasing need to be heard through movement. After the film, there will be an open Q&A panel discussion with dancers of several dance crews from China who are featured in the film.
